Our Chapter
The National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE) Illinois Chapter is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between business and engineering. Established at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998 as the Society for Business & Management in Engineering, NOBE Illinois is one of the many chapters across the nation. We aim to provide students with opportunities to explore and tackle challenges at the intersection of these two fields, fostering a community of innovative thinkers and leaders.

Each semester, our committees work on developing meaningful projects that introduce members to new concepts and technologies, helping them gain valuable experience in their fields of interest. With three committees managed by professional Chairs, we offer diverse experiences across various industries, including consulting, technology, and product development. NOBE Illinois also hosts chapter-wide professional development events, teaching soft skills not often covered in engineering curricula. By engaging in free consulting work and ideation, we help students break into the engineering startup scene and connect with a committed group of enthusiastic and ambitious peers, alongside an experienced executive board.
